Map Tools

The gis.haliburtoncounty.ca application has a variety of tools that can be used to assist you with your mapping needs.

To open the menu of map tools available, select the "Tools" tab as shown below.

A description of the tools available are as follows:

• Coordinates Tool - used to enter or locate geographic coordinates in the map.
• Identify Features - used to identify features on the map.
• Measure - used to measure distance and area on the map.
• Parcel Notification  - used to identify properties that are within a specified distance on the map. (only available on the Municipal WebGIS for County and local municipal staff).
• Map Printing - used to save a map extent in various image formats that can be printed from the saved file.
• Drawing Tools - used to draw various shapes and text
• Custom Bookmarks - used to create and save bookmarks
• Local Directions - used to obtain directions within the County of Haliburton
