Layer Transparency

The Layer Transparency tool located at the bottom of the Table of Contents (TOC), allows you to adjust the transparency for all map layers which are turned on in the "Additional Map Layers" section.

Transparency is set on all layers at the same time.

Note: transparency cannot be set on "Base Map Layers" as they are the primary map layers displayed in the map extent.

To adjust the transparency so that map layers appear less visible in the map view:

• Choose a percentage from the "Layer Transparency" tool as shown below.

• By default the slider is set to 0% transparent. The map layers are fully visible in the map view at 0%.
